Retirement

My dad, "Chip" or "Dean" depending on which circle you spin in, retired yesterday after 33 years as a civil servant for the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the highest distinction for a civil servant that the Army issues.

Over 130 people attended Dad's retirement luncheon yesterday and if time allowed I think every single one would've come to the podium to talk about how Dad was a friend, a mentor, an inspiration. Those that did speak were ample testament to Dad's service to his family, friends, co-workers, and country.

We're clearly very proud of him and wish him all the best as he moves into this next phase of his life.

Wish we could have been there to enjoy the festivities. Your Pops is a great man no doubt. Post retirement plans?
