Just Duckie
This weekend, Nana introduced me to a new friend--Lucky Duck. I call her Duckie for short. Duckie and I got along right away. I think it has something to do with the really cool pacifier attached to her beak. Anyway, I brought Duckie home from Nana's house to meet all my other duck friends. There's the flock of ducks that circle my head at night when I swing to sleep. There's even Duckie's distant cousin Rubber Duck. He likes to take baths with me, and he even has a song that Mommy and Daddy like to sing off key at bathtime while they make silly faces. Really, it gets in the way of a perfectly pleasant and relaxing bath... but they seem to enjoy it so much that I don't want to hurt their feelings. Anyway, Duckie's such a great friend that she makes me feel better when my tummy hurts and when I just need to relax. Today, we decided to take a nap and to dream about the future adventures of Evie and Lucky Duck.

Pediatrician
Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor today. I was a bit fussy when I got into the carseat, but swinging back and forth put me right to sleep.
Mommy and Daddy said the doctor was really nice, but she made me get undressed, so I didn't like her as much as they did. But they put me on something called a scale and said that I had regained almost all of the weight I lost after birth. Everyone clapped for me, so I guess that was good.
Daddy said the doctor gave me a thumbs up, but since I'm not really sure what thumbs are, I didn't understand what he meant. I was too busy laughing at his miscut beard anyway.
Afterwards, we came home and Daddy and I took a nap on the couch while Mommy tried to catch up on some sleep in bed. Naps are one of my most favorite pastimes.

I Am Cute
Daddy taught me how to post to a webpage, so I thought I would share a few pictures that they so wisely took of me today (even though I didn't give them permission).
[Daddy also told me that clicking on the pictures will give you a bigger picture, and to use the "back" button on the browser to come back to see what other smart and cute things I'd say.]
First I pretended to be asleep
Even when they called my name
I stifled a yawn
Mommy played with me, and I considered being cute,
So I was.
Then Daddy held me, and I decided I was tired again.
